Union Minister Shobha Karandlaje Criticizes Karnataka Government and Congress Leaders

Union Minister and BJP leader Shobha Karandlaje has strongly criticized the Karnataka government over recent incidents in Mandya and condemned Congress leaders in a series of statements made in Bengaluru. The remarks come in response to stone-pelting on a Ganesh procession in Mandya and ongoing political controversies.

Addressing the situation in Mandya, where stones were reportedly thrown at a Ganesh procession, Karandlaje accused the Karnataka government of bias and mishandling the incident. “Whenever there is a Siddaramaiah government in Karnataka, there is action against Hindus. What happened in Mandya yesterday is an insult to Lord Ganesh and Hindus,” Karandlaje stated. She criticized the government’s response, which described the incident as a minor occurrence, and claimed that the arrest of Hindus involved was indicative of the government’s alleged partiality. “Siddaramaiah is against the Hindus; he is only appeasing the minorities,” she added, demanding the arrest of the culprits and an inquiry into the incident. Karandlaje called for a probe by the National Investigation Agency (NIA) to uncover the truth.

In addition to her comments on the Mandya incident, Karandlaje responded to recent remarks by Congress leader Mallikarjun Kharge. “Why were you thrown out of power? It was because you misused power and indulged in corruption,” she asserted. According to Karandlaje, Kharge’s statements are an attempt to deflect from past mistakes. She further criticized Congress leaders, including Rahul Gandhi, for speaking against India. “It is the Congress leaders who speak against India. Rahul Gandhi is the Leader of Opposition but speaks against the country,” she said.

Karandlaje’s comments reflect ongoing political tensions in Karnataka and highlight the contentious relationship between the BJP and Congress parties, with both sides engaging in sharp criticism and counterclaims.
