Revised Timings for Vande Bharat Train Between Bengaluru-Coimbatore

The South Western Railways (SWR) has announced a significant change in the schedule of the Vande Bharat train running between Bengaluru and Coimbatore. This change, which will be effective from March 11, is expected to impact regular commuters who rely on this service for their daily travel.

The Railway board has approved the new timings, marking a shift from the current schedule. As per the revised schedule, the Vande Bharat train will now depart from Coimbatore, Tamil Nadu at 7.25 am, a considerable change from the current 5 am departure. This adjustment in the morning schedule is expected to provide more convenience to the passengers, allowing them a more relaxed start to their day.

Upon departure from Coimbatore, the train will embark on its journey to Bengaluru, reaching the Bengaluru Cant station by 1.50 pm. This is a significant deviation from the current arrival time of 11.30 am. The extended travel time is expected to provide a more comfortable and less rushed journey for the passengers.

The return journey from Bengaluru has also seen a revision in the schedule. The train will now commence its journey back to Coimbatore at 2.20 pm, instead of the current 11.30 am. This change allows passengers ample time to complete their work or visit in Bengaluru before embarking on their return journey.

The train is expected to reach Coimbatore by 8.45 pm, a slight delay from the current arrival time of 8 pm. This change in timing is designed to ensure a smoother and more comfortable journey for the passengers, reducing the rush often associated with strict schedules.

It’s important to note that these changes in timings will also be observed at the stoppage stations between Bengaluru and Coimbatore. This will impact the passengers boarding or alighting at these stations, and they are advised to take note of the new timings.

This announcement comes after the recent addition of new Vande Bharat Express trains in Karnataka. In December, Prime Minister Narendra Modi virtually inaugurated six semi-high-speed trains in the country. With these new additions, Vande Bharat trains are now operating between Bengaluru – Coimbatore and Mangaluru – Madgaon. Karnataka now boasts of five Vande Bharat trains travelling to multiple destinations.

These changes in the schedule of the Vande Bharat train between Bengaluru and Coimbatore reflect the Indian Railways’ commitment to providing a comfortable and convenient travel experience to its passengers. As the railways continue to evolve and adapt to the needs of the passengers, such changes are expected to become more common, marking a new era in Indian Railways.
