In a relief to the passengers of Bengaluru, the South Central Railway (SCR) has announced the extension of several special trains running to and from SMVT Bengaluru till April 1, 2024. The decision was taken in view of the high demand and extra rush of passengers on these routes.
According to a press release issued by SCR, the following trains have been extended:
- Train No 07153 Narasapur To SMVT Bengaluru Special Express, which runs via Katpadi and Jolarpettai, will continue to operate on Fridays till March 29, 2024. The train departs from Narasapur at 15:50 hrs and arrives at SMVT Bengaluru at 09:30 hrs the next day. The train has nine services in total.
- Train No 07154 SMVT Bengaluru To Narasapur Special Express, which runs via Jolarpettai and Katpadi, will continue to operate on Saturdays till March 30, 2024. The train departs from SMVT Bengaluru at 10:50 hrs and arrives at Narasapur at 06:00 hrs the next day. The train has nine services in total.
- Train No 08543 Visakhapatnam To SMVT Bengaluru Weekly Special Express, which runs via Katpadi and Jolarpettai, will continue to operate on Sundays till March 31, 2024. The train departs from Visakhapatnam at 15:55 hrs and arrives at SMVT Bengaluru at 12:30 hrs the next day. The train has nine services in total.
- Train No 08544 SMVT Bengaluru To Visakhapatnam Weekly Special Express, which runs via Jolarpettai and Katpadi, will continue to operate on Mondays till April 1, 2024. The train departs from SMVT Bengaluru at 15:50 hrs and arrives at Visakhapatnam at 13:30 hrs the next day. The train has nine services in total.
The SCR has advised the passengers to avail the benefit of these extended trains and plan their journey accordingly. The passengers are also requested to follow the COVID-19 protocols and guidelines issued by the government while travelling. The SCR has assured that it is taking all necessary measures to ensure the safety and comfort of the passengers.
