In a recent turn of events, Union Minister Pralhad Joshi has responded to statements made by Mallikarjun Kharge and P Chidambaram, prominent figures in the opposition.
Joshi on Kharge’s Statement
Mallikarjun Kharge, the national president of the so-called grand old party, recently made a statement about Prime Minister Narendra Modi that has sparked controversy. In response, Union Minister Pralhad Joshi questioned the language used by Kharge.
“He is the national president of the so-called grand old party. What language is he using?” Joshi asked. He further questioned the actions of the opposition during the 1962 Sino-Indian War, when 34,000 sq. km of land was allegedly grabbed by China. “I would ask who consumed opium when 34,000 sq. km of land was grabbed by China in 1962. Our government has not allowed China to enter Indian territory,” he added.
Joshi Responds to Chidambaram’s Statement
In response to P Chidambaram’s statement on the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), Joshi asserted that the BJP is focused on strengthening its party. “We are not destroying, we are strengthening our party. Strengthening their party is their responsibility, not ours… They should not blame the BJP,” he said.
