PM Modi’s Rally in North Malda: Accusations of Appeasement Politics Against TMC and Congress

Prime Minister Narendra Modi, while addressing a public rally in North Malda, launched a scathing attack on the Trinamool Congress (TMC) and the Congress. He accused both parties of practicing appeasement politics and claimed that their ideologies are identical.

“Both TMC and Congress are just pretending to be in a conflict in the state, but the truth is, their character and ideology are the same,” PM Modi said. He further alleged that these parties are willing to revoke every decision taken by his government for the country’s safety, all in the name of appeasement.

He pointed out that the INDI alliance wants to revoke Article 370, while TMC has expressed its intention to abolish the Citizenship Amendment Act (CAA). He emphasized that many Dalits, who are beneficiaries of the CAA, are being rejected by TMC and Congress for the sake of appeasement.

PM Modi also accused the Congress of planning to investigate the assets of the poor. “They have imported an X-ray machine and plan to conduct an X-ray of everyone in the country,” he claimed. He further alleged that they aim to seize all assets, including jewellery and property, and distribute a portion of it to their vote bank.

He criticized the TMC for not speaking against this and indirectly supporting it by remaining silent. He also accused the TMC of settling illegal immigrants from Bangladesh in the state by allocating them lands that belong to the locals. He claimed that the Congress is planning to distribute the wealth of the locals to this vote bank.

In his concluding remarks, PM Modi warned, “Congress’ loot will continue ‘Zindagi ke saath bhi, zindagi ke baad bhi’ (with life and even after life).”

This rally is part of the ongoing political campaign in the state. The accusations made by PM Modi are likely to heat up the political scenario in West Bengal.
