Prime Minister Narendra Modi, addressing a crowd in Amroha, Uttar Pradesh, launched a scathing critique of the opposition’s election strategies, accusing them of resorting to divisive tactics and disrespecting religious sentiments.
PM Modi likened the opposition’s campaign to a rejected movie, implying that it lacked credibility and support. He alleged that the opposition parties, including the Congress, SP, and BSP, relied on tactics like nepotism, corruption, and appeasement to win votes.
Highlighting instances of religious insult, PM Modi pointed out a Congress candidate’s difficulty in uttering the patriotic slogan ‘Bharat Mata Ki Jai’. He also criticized the absence of opposition leaders at the inauguration of a temple in Ayodhya, accusing them of disregarding Hindu beliefs.
Moreover, PM Modi condemned the opposition’s attitude towards Hindu festivals, citing the recent celebration of Ram Navami. He accused the Samajwadi Party of insulting devotees of Lord Ram by calling them hypocrites.
PM Modi’s remarks underscored the intense political rivalry and religious sensitivities prevailing in the run-up to the elections in Uttar Pradesh.
