Prime Minister Narendra Modi, in a charged public rally held in Pune, Maharashtra, launched a vehement attack on the Congress party and its allies, alleging their involvement in a web of terrorism-related activities during their tenure.
Modi’s accusations targeted the Congress-INDI alliance, accusing them of fostering terrorism in the nation through policies of appeasement. He vehemently criticized the Congress for propagating the concept of ‘saffron terrorism,’ claiming it unfairly targeted innocent Hindus.
“The Congress shamelessly attempted to paint the sacred saffron color with the brush of terrorism,” Modi declared, condemning the unjust persecution and incarceration of innocent Hindu individuals under this false narrative.
Furthermore, the Prime Minister leveled serious allegations against the Congress, asserting their support for convicted terrorists like Yasin Bhatkal and their attempts to obstruct justice in the case of Yakub Memon. “They are the ones who rush to the defense of individuals like Yasin Bhatkal upon their arrest. They are the ones who orchestrate midnight court sessions to impede the lawful execution of terrorists like Yakub Memon,” Modi asserted.
Modi’s accusations have ignited a fierce political debate, with the Congress and its coalition partners poised to mount a vigorous counterattack. The contentious issues of ‘saffron terrorism’ and the alleged mistreatment of Hindus under previous administrations are expected to dominate the political discourse in the days ahead.
As political tensions escalate, both sides are gearing up for a battle of narratives, underscoring the gravity and sensitivity of the allegations leveled by the Prime Minister. The ensuing political showdown is likely to shape the narrative leading up to the upcoming elections, as parties seek to sway public opinion in their favor.
