Former Karnataka Chief Minister and current BJP Member of Parliament Basavaraj Bommai’s revelations regarding a substantial financial scandal within the Valmiki Board have sparked a significant uproar, prompting opposition parties to initiate protests and demand immediate action.

Mr. Bommai’s startling claim that Rs 187 crores designated for the Valmiki Board, aimed at supporting the SC/ST community, has been siphoned off into ‘benaami’ accounts has shaken the political landscape. Addressing the press in Delhi, Mr. Bommai condemned the alleged misappropriation as a betrayal of trust and responsibility towards the vulnerable sections of society.
