Karnataka BJP chief B.Y. Vijayendra has voiced strong condemnation regarding the recent controversy surrounding the Tirupati Laddu Prasadam, which has come under scrutiny for alleged use of beef and other animal fats in its preparation. Speaking to reporters, Vijayendra expressed his shock over the revelations and praised the Andhra Pradesh government for bringing the issue to light.
“It is really shocking to know that beef and other fat were used in Tirupati prasadam,” he stated. Vijayendra emphasized the need for a thorough investigation, urging the Andhra Pradesh government to conduct a comprehensive inquiry into the matter. “I hope that action will be taken against every person who is involved in this issue,” he added.
The controversy has stirred considerable outrage among the Hindu community, with Vijayendra noting that the incident has “humiliated and insulted all the Hindus across the country as well as globally.” He called on Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy to take stringent action against those responsible for this perceived affront to religious sentiments.
The Tirupati Laddu Prasadam is an iconic offering at the Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams temple, drawing millions of devotees each year. As the fallout from this controversy continues to unfold, the situation is likely to remain a focal point in regional and national discussions about religious practices and sensitivities.
