Karnataka BJP Chief BY Vijayendra Condemns Suhas Shetty Murder, Blames Congress Govt for Rising Attacks on Hindu Activists

The murder of Hindu activist Suhas Shetty in Mangaluru continues to draw sharp political criticism, with Karnataka BJP President BY Vijayendra joining the chorus against the Congress-led state government. Calling the killing a targeted attack, Vijayendra raised serious concerns about the functioning of the state’s law enforcement and intelligence apparatus.

“BJP strongly condemns the brutal murder of Hindu activist Suhas Shetty. When the local police and Intelligence Department was aware of the threat to the life of Suhas Shetty, why did the department keep quiet?” Vijayendra asked, speaking to the media in Bengaluru.

He further alleged a pattern of violence against Hindu activists under the current regime. “This is a threat to Hindu organizations and Hindu activists. After Siddaramaiah’s Congress govt came to power in Karnataka, it is not a stray incident. There is a series of murders of Hindu activists that is taking place in Karnataka. I really doubt whether an Intelligence Department exists in Karnataka,” he added.

The BJP has demanded a high-level probe into the incident and has accused the Congress government of neglecting the safety of ideological opponents and community leaders. The Congress is yet to issue an official response to the growing allegations.
