Bengaluru, Karnataka — BJP leader CT Ravi has strongly criticized the Congress party over its stance on the caste census, asserting that the BJP is truly committed to social justice and has acted more decisively than Congress ever did for the welfare of marginalized communities.
“BJP is committed to social justice. We support social justice and will provide it. BJP believes everyone deserves justice,” Ravi said. He accused Congress of lacking the vision and willpower to deliver equitable policies, especially for OBC communities.
“The political landscape changed when Congress weakened in the country, prompting a shift in political thinking. It was then that OBCs began to receive justice as part of the welfare of the weaker sections,” he added.
Highlighting the shortcomings of the opposition, Ravi remarked, “As long as Congress remained strong, it did not provide reservations to the OBCs. The willpower within Congress is weak; the commitment is weak. Within Congress, they blame others for everything.”
Ravi’s comments come amid ongoing national discourse on caste-based census and reservations, with both major parties accusing each other of neglecting backward classes.
