BJP’s Chalavadi Narayanaswamy Questions Karnataka Cabinet Reshuffle Timing

Bengaluru, Karnataka: BJP Legislative Council Leader of Opposition (LoP) Chalavadi Narayanaswamy raised questions over the timing and motives behind the Karnataka government’s cabinet reshuffle, calling it a sudden and unexplained exercise.

Speaking to the media, Narayanaswamy said, “Since 2.5 years, they have been in power and not on a single occasion did they call a dinner meeting. Suddenly, why all these exercises?” His remarks indicate skepticism over the reshuffle and suggest that the move may be politically motivated rather than based on administrative necessity.

The cabinet reshuffle, which involves changes in ministerial positions, has attracted attention from both opposition parties and the public, as it comes midway through the government’s term. Narayanaswamy’s comments reflect the BJP’s broader criticism of the ruling party’s governance style, alleging a lack of transparency and sudden political maneuvers.

Observers note that cabinet reshuffles often signal strategic repositioning ahead of elections or attempts to address internal party dynamics, and opposition parties like the BJP are closely monitoring such developments.
