BJP MP Tejasvi Surya Demands Justice for Attacked Shopkeeper in Karnataka

KARNATAKA – BJP MP Tejasvi Surya has demanded swift justice for a shopkeeper who was attacked by a group of over five men for playing devotional music. The incident has sparked outrage and concern over law and order in the region.

After meeting the victim, identified as Mukesh, Surya stated, “By tomorrow, we want the rest of the accused to be apprehended. If not tomorrow, by 12.30 pm, there will be a bandh in Nagarathpete. All of us will participate and demand justice for what has happened to Mukesh.

The MP emphasized that this is a question of law and order, and of physical safety. He expressed concern over efforts being made to dilute the case and assured that he has spoken to the Deputy Commissioner of Police (DCP) himself.

“We are also planning to go to the Station to find out the veracity of the complaint because Mukesh is a non-Kannada speaker. There may have been communication gaps,” Surya added, highlighting the potential language barrier in the investigation.

Surya insisted on keeping the account in the First Information Report (FIR) factual. He stressed, “More than anything, this is an open and shut case because the whole thing has been captured on CCTV.

The incident has raised questions about the safety of minorities and the effectiveness of law enforcement in the region. The public now eagerly awaits the outcome of the investigation and the steps taken by the authorities to ensure justice.
