BJP MP K. Sudhakar on Bihar exit polls and Red Fort car blast: “NDA’s winning streak…”

Bengaluru, Karnataka: BJP MP K. Sudhakar on Thursday weighed in on two major developments — the Bihar assembly elections exit polls and the deadly car explosion near Delhi’s Red Fort — asserting confidence in the NDA’s prospects and backing the government’s security response.

On the Bihar exit polls, Sudhakar said the results reflected continuing public trust in Prime Minister Narendra Modi. “… NDA’s winning streak is continuing under PM Modi’s leadership. People trust him for his dedication and passion for service to the nation…,” he told reporters, echoing the party’s upbeat reading of multiple exit-poll projections that showed the NDA with a clear lead. Turning to the Red Fort car blast, Sudhakar strongly criticized calls from the opposition for the Prime Minister’s resignation. “… It is the foolishness of Congress to seek the resignation of the Prime Minister. At the time of the Mumbai blasts, the then-PM did not resign. We convey our deep condolences to the family members of those who lost their lives,” he said, while reiterating the government’s vow to pursue perpetrators. He added, “Operation Sindoor is not yet over. Those behind this act will receive a befitting reply, just wait and watch….” The remarks were posted by ANI while covering Sudhakar’s statements in Bengaluru. X (formerly Twitter)+1

The Red Fort explosion has been officially treated as a terror incident and sparked a nationwide security and investigative response. Agencies including the National Investigation Agency and other central forces have been mobilised, with senior ministers stressing that all culprits will be tracked down and brought to justice. Government sources have also linked recent probes into a wider terror network and have pointed to Operation Sindoor — the cross-border strikes and follow-up counter-terror efforts earlier this year — as part of the broader security context invoked by officials. Political analysts say Sudhakar’s remarks are consistent with the BJP’s dual strategy: highlight governance and law-and-order credentials to consolidate support in the states while fiercely countering opposition narratives over national security. The BJP has used both the exit-poll momentum in Bihar and the government’s response to the Red Fort incident to frame the public debate in favour of the NDA’s agenda.
