In a recent statement, BJP leader and national spokesperson Shehzad Poonawalla expressed his concern over the state of law and order in Karnataka, following the Hubballi incident. He stated, “It’s unfortunate that such a state of law & order in Karnataka that the daughter of a Congress leader isn’t safe then how will be the other’s daughter.”
Poonawalla criticized the Congress party for their handling of the situation, accusing them of shielding the criminal instead of standing with the victim’s family. He highlighted the statement made by Neha’s father, who expressed his lack of faith in the government’s investigation and called for a CBI probe into the matter.
The BJP leader also mentioned that the national president of the BJP has met with the victim’s family and assured them of their support in their fight for justice. However, he questioned the Congress party’s priorities, asking, “Why did Congress put vote bank security over women’s security?”
Poonawalla further criticized the Congress party for their response to the Rameshswar Cafe blast case, where he claimed that the party chose to stand with the ‘vote bank’ when the slogan of ‘Pakistan Zindabad’ was raised.
“We demand a CBI inquiry into the case,” Poonawalla said, expressing his disappointment with the comments made by Congress leaders, including the state Home Minister and the Chief Minister, who allegedly humiliated Neha and her family by suggesting that the incident was a love affair.
Poonawalla concluded his statement by questioning the mindset of the Congress leaders, calling it ‘perverted’. He urged for a thorough and unbiased investigation into the incident to ensure justice for Neha and her family.
