The driverless trains are expected to enhance the efficiency and safety of the metro system. They are equipped with advanced features and technology, including Communication-Based Train Control (CBTC), which allows for better management and control of the trains.
The successful test run of the driverless train brings Bangalore a step closer to joining the ranks of global cities that have incorporated autonomous vehicles into their public transportation networks. It also signifies a major advancement in the city’s efforts to modernize its public transportation infrastructure.
The BMRCL has not yet announced when the driverless trains will be officially launched for public use. However, the successful test run indicates that the city is on track to introduce this cutting-edge technology to its residents soon.
