Bengaluru: A Decade of Transformation, Viksit Bharat Ambassador Reflects

BENGALURU – Hitesh Jain, the esteemed Ambassador of Viksit Bharat, recently shared his reflections on the transformation of Bengaluru over the past decade. His remarks were made during a public address in Karnataka, where he highlighted the city’s progress since his last visit in 2009.

Jain’s previous visit to Bengaluru was on the eve of the Lok Sabha election, a time when the nation was still reeling from the 26/11 blasts in Mumbai. The country was also grappling with large-scale corruption scandals being unearthed on a daily basis.

“Back then, we had requested the people of Bengaluru and my friends to engage with the political leadership, to discuss what is good, and what is bad. We urged them not to be armchair critics,” Jain recalled.

Fast forward to the present day, Jain expressed his belief that the audience would agree with him on the significant changes that have taken place. He attributed these changes to the policy-led approach and leading by example by Prime Minister Modi.

“In the last ten years, I’m sure this audience will agree with me after seeing the results of the policy led and leading by example by PM Modi, the engagement has sufficiently happened,” Jain said.

His comments underscore the importance of active citizen engagement in shaping the political landscape. They also highlight the significant strides India has made under the leadership of PM Modi, particularly in terms of policy implementation and public engagement.

Jain’s reflections serve as a testament to Bengaluru’s transformation over the past decade, and the role of active citizen engagement in driving this change. His words are a reminder of the power of collective action in shaping the future of our cities and our nation.
