BJP Leader CT Ravi Accuses Congress Government of Favouring Terrorists in Jail, Demands NIA Probe

Bengaluru: Senior Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader C.T. Ravi on Tuesday launched a sharp attack on the Congress government in Karnataka, alleging that terrorists lodged in prisons are being provided with undue facilities under its administration.

Speaking to reporters during a protest in Bengaluru, Ravi said, “Terrorists are getting every facility in the jail because of the Congress government. We are protesting against this to save the country.”

He accused the state government of compromising national security and demanded accountability from the top leadership. “The Chief Minister and Home Minister should resign immediately,” Ravi asserted, adding that only a National Investigation Agency (NIA) probe could expose the “nexus” behind the alleged preferential treatment to terror convicts.

Ravi’s remarks come amid heightened political tensions in the state over allegations of lax security measures and the alleged mishandling of sensitive cases. The BJP leader emphasized that his party’s protest was aimed at safeguarding national interests and ensuring that those involved in anti-national activities are dealt with strictly under the law.
