PM Modi Inaugurates Navi Mumbai Airport Phase 1, Mumbai Metro Line 3 Phase 2B, Emphasizes Nation-First Development

Prime Minister Narendra Modi inaugurated Phase 1 of the Navi Mumbai International Airport along with Phase 2B of the Mumbai Metro Line 3 and several other connectivity projects, highlighting the government’s focus on infrastructure as a means of citizen empowerment.

Addressing the gathering, PM Modi underscored the BJP’s nation-first policy, saying it forms the foundation of the party’s political approach. “For us, every rupee spent on infrastructure strengthens citizens’ ease and empowerment,” he said, contrasting it with political rivals who, according to him, prioritize power over public convenience.

The Prime Minister highlighted that these projects are not just about physical connectivity but also about improving the quality of life, reducing travel time, and boosting economic activity in the region. The Navi Mumbai International Airport, a long-awaited project, is expected to significantly enhance air connectivity, ease congestion at Mumbai’s existing airport, and contribute to regional development.

Similarly, the Mumbai Metro Line 3 Phase 2B and other associated connectivity initiatives are aimed at improving urban mobility, making daily commuting more convenient for millions of residents. PM Modi said such projects reflect the government’s commitment to people-centric development and reiterated that the BJP’s approach to governance emphasizes public welfare over political expediency.

The inauguration marks a significant milestone in Maharashtra’s infrastructure development, reinforcing the government’s push for modern, efficient, and citizen-friendly urban transport and connectivity solutions.
