BJP’s R Ashok Predicts Congress Collapse After KN Rajanna’s Resignation

Bengaluru: Reacting to the resignation of KN Rajanna from his cabinet post, BJP leader R Ashok launched a sharp attack on the Congress, predicting an imminent collapse of the party in Karnataka.

Ashok claimed that Rajanna was being targeted for speaking the truth. “He told the truth, and that is why Rahu Gandhi, not Rahul Gandhi, issued a notice to suspend him,” Ashok remarked, using a mocking twist on the Congress leader’s name.

The senior BJP leader reiterated his earlier prediction of political upheaval within the ruling party. “I had earlier said that there would be a revolution in October; it has already started,” he asserted.

Ashok further alleged that the Congress in Karnataka is deeply divided into two factions — one loyal to Chief Minister Siddaramaiah and the other to Deputy CM DK Shivakumar. According to him, these internal rifts will soon lead to the party’s downfall. “Congress will collapse soon,” he declared.

Rajanna’s resignation has sparked political speculation in the state, with the BJP seizing the opportunity to highlight alleged infighting within the Congress ranks ahead of crucial political battles.
