Bommai Slams Karnataka Govt Over Al-Qaeda Recruiter Case, Calls It a ‘Total Law and Order Failure’

Bengaluru, Karnataka:
BJP MP and former Karnataka Chief Minister Basavaraj Bommai has strongly criticized the Congress-led state government, alleging a complete collapse of law and order following the arrest of a woman allegedly involved in recruiting for Al-Qaeda in the Indian Subcontinent (AQIS).

Speaking on the issue, Bommai said, “Law and order in Karnataka is becoming the worst. Police have lost control over the criminal activities in Karnataka.” He expressed serious concern over how such activities could go unchecked under the current administration.

Referring to the woman’s arrest, he stated, “This woman was doing recruitment for Al-Qaeda in the Indian Subcontinent. What is the Karnataka Police doing?” He slammed the state’s response as inadequate and symbolic, after officials announced plans to suspend a Beat Police officer and an Inspector.

“The Home Minister says they want to suspend a few officers for lapses. This is not enough. It is a total failure of the Government and the Home Ministry. They are accountable,” Bommai asserted.

Further intensifying his criticism, he said, “I think the Siddaramaiah government has lost all morality to rule because they are giving shelter to anti-social and anti-national elements.”

His remarks come amid growing political tensions over national security concerns and the handling of extremist elements within state jurisdictions.
