Karnataka BJP Announces Padyatra to Address Corruption Allegations in MUDA and Vakmiki Corporation

Bengaluru — Karnataka BJP Member of the Legislative Council (MLC) CT Ravi has announced a significant political mobilization to address allegations of corruption within the Mysore Urban Development Authority (MUDA) and irregularities at the Vakmiki Corporation. The party plans to undertake a ‘padyatra’ (foot march) from Bengaluru to Mysuru to highlight these issues and bring them to public attention.

In a press statement, CT Ravi criticized the handling of these matters in the legislative assembly. “We will hold a padyatra from Bengaluru to Mysuru to bring the issues of corruption in MUDA and irregularities in the Vakmiki Corporation to the public’s attention. Unfortunately, we were not given the opportunity to speak about these concerns in the Assembly,” Ravi stated.

The padyatra is seen as a strategic move by the BJP to rally public support and pressure the state government on these issues. By taking their grievances directly to the people, the party aims to spotlight alleged mismanagement and corruption within the mentioned institutions, which they argue has been inadequately addressed by the current administration.

The proposed march will cover a significant distance and involve party members and supporters, intending to create a strong public presence and generate awareness about the alleged irregularities. The BJP’s move is expected to intensify the political discourse around these issues, potentially influencing voter sentiment and putting additional pressure on state officials.

As the padyatra plans unfold, all eyes will be on the responses from the state government and other political players. The BJP’s campaign strategy underscores the growing focus on corruption and administrative accountability in Karnataka’s political landscape.
