BJP Alleges Massive Corruption in Karnataka, Demands CBI Inquiry and CM Siddaramaiah’s Resignation

In a dramatic turn of events, the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) in Karnataka has intensified its attack on the ruling Congress government, led by Chief Minister Siddaramaiah, over alleged irregularities in the Mysuru Urban Development Authority (MUDA). BJP leader CT Ravi has accused the government of rampant corruption and demanded a CBI inquiry into the matter, along with the immediate resignation of CM Siddaramaiah.

Speaking at a protest organized by the BJP, CT Ravi stated, “Since this government came to power, two things have been happening every day and every month – corruption and price rise. Corruption is at 100%. They don’t believe in percentages but in looting 100%, as they are experienced.”

Ravi went on to make serious allegations regarding electoral funding and corruption practices across multiple states. “We allege that they have used money in the elections in Telangana, Karnataka, and even UP,” he claimed.

The focal point of the BJP’s accusations revolves around the Mysuru Urban Development Authority, where Ravi claimed the scale of corruption to be staggering. “In MUDA, it’s not a small corruption but approximately Rs 5,000 crore. The sitting CM and his family are the beneficiaries of it,” he alleged.

The protest underscores escalating political tensions in Karnataka, with the BJP seeking to capitalize on allegations of corruption to weaken the Congress government’s standing ahead of crucial elections. The demand for a CBI inquiry and the resignation of CM Siddaramaiah are likely to intensify the political discourse in the state.

Meanwhile, the Congress party has dismissed the allegations as politically motivated, asserting that the BJP is attempting to deflect attention from its own governance issues. The coming days are expected to witness heightened rhetoric and counterclaims as both parties gear up for electoral battles that could shape Karnataka’s political landscape significantly.

As the controversy unfolds, the call for transparency and accountability in governance resonates strongly, with the electorate closely monitoring developments that could impact their voting decisions in the upcoming polls.
