‘Ek Ped Maa Ke Naam’: Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s Green Initiative on World Environment Day

In a significant step towards environmental conservation, Prime Minister Narendra Modi launched the ‘Ek Ped Maa Ke Naam’ campaign on World Environment Day. This initiative aims to promote tree plantation and foster a sense of environmental stewardship among citizens.

The campaign was inaugurated with the Prime Minister planting a Peepal tree at the Buddha Jayanti Park in Delhi. The event was attended by several key delegates, reflecting the government’s commitment to this cause.

In his address, Prime Minister Modi called upon every citizen to contribute towards making our planet greener and healthier. He emphasized that each tree planted is a step towards environmental sustainability and a testament to our commitment to Mother Earth.

He also highlighted India’s environmental progress over the past decade, noting the increase in forest cover across the country. These collective efforts, he said, are a reflection of India’s commitment to environmental preservation and its role in global climate action.

The ‘Ek Ped Maa Ke Naam’ campaign is set to boost these efforts, inspiring citizens to plant trees and contribute to a greener future. The initiative has been widely applauded and is expected to motivate millions of Indians to participate in environmental conservation activities.

As the world grapples with the pressing issue of climate change, initiatives like these underscore the importance of collective action and individual responsibility in preserving our planet for future generations.
