AICC Youth President Srinivas Allegedly Protests on Polling Day, Violates Model Code of Conduct

Bengaluru, Karnataka – The Election Commission was inundated with complaints today as voting took place across the state. Advocate Vasanth Kumar, Convenor of the BJP legal cell, reported that five complaints were lodged with the Election Commission, alleging various violations of the Model Code of Conduct.

One of the complaints involved Chief Minister Siddaramaiah, who was accused of canvassing and speaking to workers inside a polling booth in Mysuru. This act is considered a violation of the Model Code of Conduct, which prohibits campaigning on polling day.

In another incident, a former councillor named Venkatesh from the Kolar constituency was accused of distributing cash to voters at a polling booth. Such acts are considered bribery and are strictly prohibited under the Election Commission’s rules.

The AICC Youth President, Srinivas, was also implicated in a complaint. He was reportedly protesting on polling day, which is a violation of the Model Code of Conduct.

The Election Commission is expected to investigate these complaints and take appropriate action against the violators. The results of these investigations could have significant implications for the accused parties and the overall election results.

The voting process is a cornerstone of our democracy, and any violation of its sanctity is a serious matter. As citizens await the results of the election, they also hope for a fair and impartial investigation into these allegations.
