A New Dawn for Jammu Farmers: PM Modi’s Assurance on Shahpurkandi Dam Project

J&K – Prime Minister Narendra Modi, during a public rally in Udhampur, Jammu and Kashmir, brought a ray of hope for the farmers of Jammu with his assurance on the completion of the Shahpurkandi Dam project. The project had been stalled for decades under the previous Congress governments, leaving the fields of Jammu dry and the villages in darkness.

“Modi ki guarantee yani guarantee pura hone ki guarantee,” the Prime Minister stated, underlining his commitment to the project. This statement, translating to “Modi’s guarantee is the guarantee of completion,” reflects the Prime Minister’s resolve to ensure the project’s completion.

The Shahpurkandi Dam project has been a long-standing issue, with its potential to irrigate the parched fields of Jammu and bring electricity to the dark villages. However, the project had been left incomplete, and the water of the Ravi River was flowing into Pakistan, leaving the farmers of Jammu in a state of despair.

The Prime Minister, however, assured the farmers that he had given a guarantee and has also fulfilled it. This assurance is seen as a testament to the government’s commitment to the welfare of the farmers and the overall development of the region.

The completion of the Shahpurkandi Dam project is expected to bring about a significant change in the region. It will provide irrigation facilities to the farmers and generate electricity, contributing to the local economy.

The Prime Minister’s address was met with a wave of optimism by the attendees of the rally. The farmers of Jammu, who have been waiting for the completion of the Shahpurkandi Dam project, now look forward to a future filled with hope and prosperity.
