Triple talaq, an instant divorce practice in some Islamic sects, permits a man to divorce his wife by merely uttering ‘talaq’ three times. This practice has been widely condemned for its discriminatory impact on women.
PM Modi stressed that the law has not only offered protection to women who were susceptible to this practice but has also ensured the safety of every Muslim family. “Modi has not only protected you but Modi has protected every Muslim family,” he proclaimed.
