BENGALURU, KARNATAKA – Union Minister Anurag Thakur rallied for BJP candidate Tejasvi Surya during a roadshow in Bengaluru South. The event was held ahead of Surya filing his nomination papers for the upcoming elections.
Thakur, in his address, lauded Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s leadership, stating that “Modi means ‘Maker of Developed India’”. He contrasted this with the Congress party, which he claimed has been reduced to an “RSVP party”, an acronym for ‘Rahul Sonia Vadra Priyanka’.
The Union Minister criticized the Congress party for the water crisis in Bengaluru, attributing it to their internal crisis. He praised the Modi government for fulfilling its promise of ‘One Rank, One Pension’ (OROP), while alleging that for Congress, OROP is limited to ‘Only Rahul Only Priyanka’.
Tejasvi Surya, the BJP candidate from Bengaluru South, was hailed as a popular choice by Thakur. He commended Surya for raising the issues of the people from the Parliament to the roads. Thakur expressed confidence that Surya will break all previous records and win with a record number of votes in the upcoming elections.
Thakur ended his address by calling Surya a youth icon who will attract more young people to join the BJP, thereby strengthening the party’s presence in the region.
